Turkesterone is one of the most hyped supplements in recent years - and one of the most misunderstood. Actively training men and women randomised to 500 mg/day turkesterone or placebo for 4 weeks. Measured via DXA (gold standard for body composition). Result: no significant differences in body weight, lean mass, fat mass or body fat percentage versus placebo.

Study 2 - 2025 randomised double-blind study

Tested a turkesterone-containing supplement for 4 weeks. Measured body composition, hand-grip strength, mood and sleep. Result: no significant differences between supplement and placebo group on any measure.

An important critical note about older studies

Many of the positive studies circulating about turkesterone are either conducted on rats, performed on cell cultures, or funded by manufacturers with a commercial interest. That does not make them worthless - but it is an important filter when reading about turkesterone online. Independent human studies are the only standard that counts.
